Privacy and Security in crowdsourcing environments

The goal of the international consortium of EIT Digital is to analyse the applications of existing start-ups, such as the application of Crowdee, from a security and privacy preserving perspective in terms of accessing data. The observed applications provide services to big enterprises in connection with the distribution of tasks that demand large human contribution to outer labour. These sort of tasks include translating sensitive texts or subtitling videos. The application is capable of distributing the data in such sections that the translators partaking in the process are capable of translating the texts correctly without accessing private, sensitive data themselves.

The researchers of ELTE examined the applications of the start-ups that participate in the project from a security perspective, to ensure that they truly meet the determined security requirements and that the potential users can confidently trust the applications of the start-ups.
