Personal mentors for EIT Digital Master School students

Freshly trained mentors visited the Budapest CLC on the 10th of August to meet our Student Advisor and discuss the tasks and assignments regarding the Master School’s 5 new international students.

Moving to a previously unknown country may be an exciting and a frightening life experience at the same time. We took additional measures in order to support our students in bringing the best out of this possibility of living in Budapest for a year. While the Student Advisor is an inherent – and excellent – part of the EIT Digital Master School’s efforts in this regard, and the Eötvös Loránd University also had a mentoring system for international students, this system was further improved for the next academic year. The mentors participated in a special educational training, acquiring knowledge of every aspect that concerns international students (including official governmental and educational administration and much more), and took an exam in the end.

All of our international students studying at ELTE in Budapest will be associated with a personal mentor, who will accompany and help them along the way – that literally starts at the airport, where the mentors will greet the arriving students. In the meeting, the mentors introduced their plans for the first semester, which include team building and recreational events such as excursions, cooking contests, parties, professional outings, lectures, table football championships and so on. International students from the EIT Digital Master School, the Faculty of Informatics and the other Faculties of the Eötvös Loránd University will have a chance to participate in all of the programs and in the most exciting international student life that Budapest could possibly offer.
