Dean of ELTE Informatics Faculty held talks in Silicon Valley.

As a member of Zoltán Cséfalvay, state secretary’s delegation, he met the decision makers of IT companies
Zoltán Horváth, Dean of ELTE Informatics Faculty and Director of the EIT ICT Labs Budapest Associate Partner Group, delegation member of the Ministry for National Economy had talks concerning the further international role of national information technology research and development sector, in the Californian centre of Google and Ericcson among others.

During his discussions the Faculty Head emphasized the strengths of Hungary’s high-quality university IT training, in order to promote the success of Hungarian international students and reaching out for visiting students. During his talks he said that “The fact, that we could negotiate about the launch and pursuit of national cooperation in the global center of IT industry with international IT innovation players has given particular importance to these talks.”
Zoltán Horváth also participated in discussions with incubator companies (US MAC, Plug and Play Tech) supporting startups and at an investors’ forum organized for the Hungarian delegation in San Matteo. During the dialogue it was discussed that American organizations want to help start-up Hungarian companies entering the U.S. market.

In the framework of negotiations, Z. Cséfalvay signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Canadian company Linamar and held talks with BlackBerry, which employs a group of sixty software developers at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
